It won't brick your Mac, and quite frankly, it's such a good customizable tool that it should be on everyone's Mac. Though you can't download BetterTouchTool from the Mac App Store - it's the kind of app that requires far too much system hook-in to be properly sandboxed under Apple's rules - it's still a solid app from a respected developer. Better Touch Tool isn't in the Mac App Store - but you should still own it I suggest browsing around the predefined actions to see everything you can do. You'll have to allow it to control your computer through your Security & Privacy's Accessibility. If you're interested, download BetterTouchTool and then move the download into your Applications folder to get started. One Touch Bar action I created for Slack - thanks to a little help from Alex W - included a shortcut that let me switch between chat rooms with just a tap.

The BTT Studio One Preset can be copied and pasted into another main BTT preset such as the popular Golden Chaos preset but it might need some adjustments depending on the version and your own customization. Import the BTT Studio One Preset in BetterTouchTool.Then import the Lex Studio One Shortcuts Preset. In Studio One, make a backup of your own Keyboard Shortcuts setting.Download the Zip including the BTT Studio One Preset and the Lex Studio One Shortkey Preset (plus an HTML list of the shortkeys for reference).This preset was created for personal use and not in affiliation with BTT or Presonus. NOTE: you need BetterTouchTool in order to use this touch bar preset. Of course, you can add your own commands and Macros too. This preset is not meant to be a control surface, it does not control specific parameters in the DAW or in the plug-ins but it does get most of Studio One frequently used features right at your fingertip and organized in the touch bar of your MacBook Pro. Surprisingly, I could not find any BetterTouchTool (BTT) preset for Studio One so I decided to create one myself to get my Touch Bar a quick fix and speed up the work. If you’re a Presonus Studio One user on a MacBook Pro like me, I’m sure you felt the lack of interaction with the Touch Bar while working in the DAW.
